Installation

  • This repair is easier than you may think. You'll find our installation videos helpful. In our experience removing and replacing the door panel is the most involved step in the repair. On most vehicles this only requires removing a few screws and push-in clips.

  1. step : Removing the Door Panel (0:56)
    • Remove the sail panel behind the mirror
    • Pry up the door latch bezel with a flat blade screwdriver.
    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the five screws
    • Press the push pins in on the edges and bottom of the door panel and pry it out
    • On the edges of the door panel, remove the push clips by depressing the center and pulling the body of the clip out.
    • Pry up the window switch panel
    • Unplug the switch panel from the wiring harness
    • Pull the door panel off, lifting it up over the lock and door latch
  2. step : Removing the Window Regulator (4:32)
    • Peel back the water shield
    • Disconnect the window motor lead
    • Loosen the two 10mm bolts that hold the window to the regulator
    • Raise the window by hand
    • Hold the window in place with painter's tape
    • Remove the three 10mm bolts from the regulator
    • Remove the three 10mm bolts from the window motor
    • Pull the window regulator out through the door
  3. step : Reinstalling the Regulator (7:50)
    • Insert one of the bolts into the window regulator
    • Push the regulator into the door
    • Hang the regulator by its bolt
    • Insert the two 10mm bolts into the regulator
    • Insert the three 10mm bolts into the window motor
    • Remove the painter's tape from the window
    • Lower the window onto the regulator
    • Insert the two 10mm bolts that hold the window to the regulator
  4. step : Installing the Door Panel (9:38)
    • Thread the wiring harness through the switch panel hole
    • Clip the door panel on, securing with the push clips
    • Depress the body of the clip and push in the center to anchor them on the sides and bottom
    • Screw in the five Phillips screws in the door pull
    • Reconnect the wiring harness to the switch panel
    • Clip the switch panel and the door latch bezel back on
    • Press the sail panel on
