How to Replace Front Window Regulator 2000-06 Chevy Suburban

Flat Blade Screwdriver
8mm Socket
Painter's Tape
10mm Socket
Ratchet
1. Removing the Door Panel
Pry up the window switch panel by hand
Disconnect the window switch wiring harnesses
Remove the bolts from the door pull
Remove the bolt at the bottom of the door panel
Pry off the mirror base trim piece by hand
Pry off the door handle trim piece with a flat blade screwdriver
Lift the door panel up and off
Pry off the courtesy light with a flat blade screwdriver
Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the door panel
Disconnect the door latch rod with a flat blade screwdriver
Remove the bolt from the door handle
Slide the door handle off
Carefully peel off the water shield
2. Removing the Window Regulator
Disconnect the window motor lead
Loosen the two bolts that hold the window to the regulator
Hold the window in place with painter's tape
Remove the bolts from the regulator
Pull the window regulator out through the door
3. Installing the Window Regulator
Insert one of the bolts into the window regulator
Push the regulator into the door
Hang the regulator by its bolt
Insert the bolts into the regulator
Connect the window motor lead
Connect the window switch wiring harness
Raise the window with the switch
Disconnect the window switch wiring harness
Remove the painter's tape from the window
Lower the window onto the regulator
Insert the two bolts that hold the window to the regulator
4. Reinstalling the Door Panel
Put the water shield into place
Connect the latch rod to the door handle
Slide the door handle on
Insert the bolt into the door handle
Connect the wiring harnesses to the door panel
Push the courtesy light into place
Lift the door panel into place
Push in the door panel clips
Push the switches into the door
Insert the bolts into the door pull
Insert the bolt at the bottom of the door panel
Slide on the door handle trim piece
Push on the mirror base trim piece
Connect the window switch wiring harnesses
Push in the window switch panel

Both rear window regulators went out within days of each other purchased new ones from 1aAuto instillation was simple and both windows appear to be operating fine. The price was considerably less than what I've paid for regulators for other vehicles. Have purchased other items from 1aAuto and have been well pleased with cost & qualuty. this regulator was a exact fit to replace my existing.This was the first time I attempted make this kind of repair because I was really unsure of getting the door panel back on. The video on doing this was very helpful.
For me taking the door panel off and putting it back on was the longest part of the job.

This was my first purchase on line from 1A Auto. It was a great experience. The part was delivered rapidly, ordering was effortless and the part was of very high quality.
All you need is a 7mm and 10mm socket and maybe a flat head screw driver to pop off the electrical connectors.

Highly Recommended!. Only took about 25 minutes. The online video is what sold me. Breaks it down perfect. Tell your kids to stop touching with the windows when in operation. (I pretty sure that's what broke it because that's the only seat they sit in the back) The kids were happy the price was right and I didn't take it out of their ass.
I have bought a few things from 1A Auto and have not been disappointed.

Super straight forward, parts were a perfect fit, went in easy. This one went in my passenger side rear door about three months ago and last year I also replaced the regulator in my driverside rear door with the same product. About 3 years ago I shifted professions and now hammer down a lot of dirt roads, so it remains to be seen if these last as long as the originals. (My sierra is now 17 years old) So far so good, thank you 1A!

This product was an exact fit and functions perfect for my application. When I hear that same loud "snap" when rolling up other windows in the future I'll go ahead and order a regulator from 1aauto ( because epoxy does not fix the problem when the plastic parts fail on this regulator....I tried).

Excellent customer service! The expedited shipping was late and the fee was refunded without any questions. The part worked as expected. The only thing I had to figure out was that the passenger side had a motor plug adapter that reversed the polarity to enable the switch direction to match the window direction. Would recommend 1aauto for future puchases.
