Crome came off 2 days after I bought it and it smells pretty bad for a couple of weeks

The handle and leather were a great improvement over what was installed. I did accidently crack the plastic square at the bottom of the boot during installation, however it was removable and I used the plastic square from the shifter I removed. Just be careful when snapping it into place, it was also very cold outside when I was doing the install. I also used a metal worm gear hose clamp instead of the one time use metal clamp that was provided. I would recommend this product.

This is a good looking shifter and really updates the vehicle but the plastic clip in base cracked immediately as I was installing. The base would not snap in and kept popping out then it cracked. I took off my old VW OEM base and installed it on the boot and it snapped in perfectly. Snap in base very thin and cheap. Shift knob just hard plastic.
