Fine mirror

The mirror is fine. It comes with an adhesive pad that you have to use - the glass won't go into the frame without it. The online instructions were not very helpful. I had to search for other instructions to install it. Granted, I am not a very handy person.

Does not come assembled...you get a mirror, adhesive foam, and a plastic carrier... These have to be put together "EXACTLY"...there is no room for error. I actually used a razor blade to shave off the inside edge of the plastic carrier in spots where the mirror glass had no clearance...then used masking tape in four places to line everything up before placing the mirror onto the adhesive foam--- be prepared and take your time, this isn't a quick job. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the end product.

Be sure to watch the video, The glass was stuck to the plastic frame so I assumed it was already glued to the frame, it is not as the first bump it fell off with the attached wires saving it. A1 should put a note on the paper peel and stick membrane cover. Otherwise it is good quality.

It shipped fast and was the correct part. I wish you had more detail on the clips that mount it. Had a couple different styles molded in and no direction for proper installation. Luckily the clips didn't break when taking the old one off but could very easily had been ruined

Wrong Mirror Altogether

Having been down this road with another online vendor, I called 1aauto to talk and order with a customer service rep. I asked if the mirror in the picture and in the video would be the mirror I would receive? After a brief hold, the lady assured me, yes I would receive the mirror in the picture with the (4) mounting holes. The mirror arrived in a few days and it was a totally different mirror. The kind that mounts round the circle motor. NOT the kind with (4) mounted holes (pictured on their website) that the (4) tabs snap onto. I actually tried to put the wrong mirror on just to see if it would work and the mirror they sent would not fit. I sent pictures of my existing mirror (with 4 mounting holes) and the flat, tabs on the outside of the mirror, they sent me. After a week & a half of emails, 1aauto, credited my card and I bought from another vendor who sent the correct mirror.

I bought this for a 2007 Yukon. When I removed the old one, I noticed the mounting plates were different so I removed the larger one (from the original mirror) and mounted it without. Also, I had to pinch the wire connectors closed a bit to make them hang on to the prongs.
