The power steering went out on my 2007 Chevy HHR with 108,000 miles. Took it to my mechanic, he said they would need to replace the entire steering column to the tune of $ 1,000. Took a chance on just replacing the electric motor. Found one on the 1aauto website and ordered it. Fair price, quick ship, arrived in great shape. Had it installed in about 1 hour. Great outcome!!

Excellent fitment and quality upon initial inspection. Once I installed the part and starting driving my vehicle I immediately noticed the difference from the old unit that I had removed; this new power steering motor is much smoother than the stock motor and the steering feels firmer and more precise than before. Very happy!

Item shipped and was received as advertised. It beat expectations on delivery, arrived ahead of time. Install went smoothly, easier than I anticipated. Unfortunately, for me, after installation I discovered that this component wasnt the issue upon attempting to start the car but based on research this part usually fails after 100,000 miles, so at least its installed. Im about to install a new starter based on further research of the Saturn and other information that I gathered on electrical components that fail on this vehicle.

My power steering was completely dead. Installing the new unit resolved it and has been working totally fine since. Installing new one took maybe 30 minutes start to finish

I didn't have any power and it was very hard to steer a message will come on the dashboard. I would turn off the car and restarted it and it will operate just like nothing happened. once I replaced it I did not have that problem any more. order this part from A1 but it came out without the o ring. had to use the old one.

Hey, my car is a 07 Chevy HHR with same system you have.mine would be fine and then blow the fuse and then no P.S.Id replace the fuse and sometimes get several days before it blew again. Bought new P.S. motor put it in & fine ever sense, a bit of a tight fit and a little cramped for me to install but certainly not a hard job.The fuse always lasted for a day or several days but that fuse cost about $6bucks a pack of 2 hope this helped, there is a good step by step video out there

I would loose all power steering at low speeds and idle and sometimes it became intermittent after starting the car

If it was up to me I would check alternator make sure it is good but definitely a battery I wouldn't think a starter would be the problem again

I need this on my Ford piece of crap fusion but not able to find one without replacing entire rack n pinion . Supposedly is all one unit, has anyone attempted to replace just the unit?
