Well, it’s officially Spring now. And one day, real soon, you’re going to wake up to a perfectly glorious Spring day. Let me paint you a picture:
The sun’s shining, the birds are singing, the squirrels are chattering happily away (“if only I knew squirrel-speak,” you think to yourself), you step outside and, yes, it’s T-shirt weather. You get yourself ready, you hop in your car and you set out to drive to work. It seems, ol’ Mr. Sun may have been a bit too enthusiastic this morning and it’s even gotten a bit warm in your car, so you roll the window down. As the wind whooshes past your ears, you turn the radio up and soon the whole neighborhood will be grooving to “Whole Lotta Love.” The wind blows your hair around and you realize that, like Robert Plant, you too are a golden god. And so you treat all passersby to your, let’s say, unique vocal stylings.
The spring air is filled with the delicious scents of the good earth. Lilacs and pine trees mingle on the breeze with daffodils and honey bees. And something else. What is that smokey smell? It can’t be—but it is-- the diesel exhaust of the school bus up ahead. You roll the window back up and the car fills with delicate aroma of your new-car-smell air freshener. You tune down Robert Plant’s caterwauling (and your own) and return to reality, still thankful for that brief, glorious moment of springtime joy.
Of course, all that assumes your windows are functioning properly. If your window regulators or motors aren’t working, just remember that 1A is here for you through all the ups the downs.
