Auto Repair Isn't Scary, We Have 1600 Videos That Prove It!
1A Auto Newsletter: The 10/01/2012 Edition.
Welcome to October everybody! Up here in the foliage-filled New England area, we are getting colder and the world around us is nothing but pumpkins. Millions of them. You wouldn't even believe it. The leaves are definitely falling, and the daunting task of raking them up is beginning to haunt us all. Why I still don't own a lawn mower with the leaf vacuum attachment is baffling to me. Great news though! Football is finally working right again! Rejoice! October is definitely here.
At 1A Auto, we are gathering all of the fall-related parts, because well....certain items are seasonal. Have you tried your heat this season yet? Is your power steering howling on a really cold day? Maybe your cabin air filter has an entire family of squirrels inside? Yep, seen that. Not fun. Regardless of your auto parts needs, our friendly ASE-certified, English-speaking customer service team is here to make sure that you get the right part, the first time, FAST. Give us a call at 888-844-3393 or visit our website tonight!

Wheel Bearings? Hubs? You Can Totally Handle It!
Replacing a wheel bearing isn't as complicated as it once was. Years ago, you had to smash out bearing races with hammers or a press, pack the bearing with a hand full of bearing grease, and then precisely torque the bearing to the amazingly accurate “tight, and then back it off a little†torque specifications. If you weren’t familiar with what “tight†felt like, then you ended up with a bound up bearing or a wobbly wheel.
Luckily, times have changed, and swapping a wheel bearing is often as easy as bolting on a new hub. Call me bold if you must, but I’d say if you can successfully do a brake job, you can likely swap a hub and wheel bearing. Who knows, we probably even have a how-to installation video to help you every step of the way!
