Istall was pretty simple and straight forward. Everything fit and bolted up nicely. It's a lot better quality then the original manifold. My suggestion is to light sand, acetone bath and then apply a few coats of high heat paint to protect the manifold. Also if you had really bad cracks I suggest that you replace your motor and tranny mounts or you're going to be in the same boat again with a cracked new manifold.

Me and my son love the headers.. excellent quality and the fit is better than orm.. paired it with walker front pipe then straighted to a dual chamber Flow Master.. just nasty sounding !!!!!

Best price out there, manifold fit right, though I did had to push the exhaust pipe to the right a couple inches from where it originally was,but the rubber hangers allowed it. and the exhaust flange gasket that was sent with it was too small for the new header so I used the original that worked fine. The gasket was good and thick, sealed well.

Seems a little thicker metal then the one I took out, pretty quite exhaust now. Bottom bolts were the worst to reinstall!

I ordered this to replace the factory header on my 96 XJ 4.0. It was a direct fit with many improvements. Gaskets all fit, including the flange gasket. Steel seemed thicker and overall a better construction. Hands down, I would not hesitate to buy anything from 1A Auto.

After looking at several manifolds that looked similar and reading 10s if not 100s of reviews, I settled on this one. The fit and finish is very nice and I am very happy with my decision. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the gasket. I had to trim two of the bolt holes to get them to line up properly. Thankfully that was a simple modification. The manifold lined up extremely well and the flange was the exact thickness. Thank you A1!

Had a cracked exhaust manifold. Read lots of reviews on replacement manifolds on all the different parts sites. Read lots of horror stories about how some people's manifold did not fit for one reason or another. I had to have my manifold fit the first time because it is our only vehicle. The 1A Auto manifold fit perfect my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L. Shipped quick. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Everything fit great except the donut gasket was wrong size. After goi g to autozone and buying the right size finishing the instal was a breeze.

It's a quality part and a good fit. My only complaint is about how it was packed. It was partially sticking out of the box, and the gasket was a little bent.

Great manifold. Packaged very poorly. When it arrived there was a hole in the box where the end of the manifold stuck out as well as the gasket. The gasket was ruined and I had to buy another one. 1A Auto did refund my money.

It was a perfect fit! Installation went smoothly. The Gasket lined up to the Studs. No more fumes in the Cabin and performance seems slightly better. Hoping gas mileage will improve without the crack altering the exhaust air to the 02 sensor but haven't had it out on the Highway yet .

I don't think so. There is no port on the manifold. This manifold worked fine on my 1998 Cherokee, but it is the base model with a 4.0. Jeep did a terrible job designing this, as it is quite fragile, for a 4x4 machine. those expansion sections fail regularly. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Yes all of the 1996 Cherokees were fuel injected at this time. The O2 sensor is further down the down pipe though. Its not in the manifold.

Hey R. My name is Todd and I purchased the same exhaust manifold for my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The one I received was a lot heavier duty metal than the factory one. All gaskets and even new nuts, bolts, and washers to hook your exhaust back up to the new exhaust manifold are included. If you're doing it yourself it will take you a while to complete but it is well worth it. Good luck with your jeep Todd

I belive its 1.5mm thickness on the tubing. Being stainless and having an accordion tube at the base makes a big difference in preventing the unit from cracking.

I don't know but the manufacturer should be able to tell you. Any way I would recommend this part, it fit perfectly and the expansion joints should help prevent cracking which is quite a problem with jeep 4 liters.
