The exhaust manifold does it's job of getting the exhaust gasses away, but in other every sense it's not good quality. The casting is very pitted and it doesn't have a threaded hole for dipstick. So if you're going for restoration, I would recommend more expensive ones. But if you just need operational, this is for you!

This manifold fit on the drivers side of my dodge 440 motor. The other side required a different manifold and that one was expensive. This manifold fit properly and arrived on time. Excellent buy! Jim A

NO heat riser...check the quality of the casting mine had a pin hole in it and had to clearance a bolt hole to get it installed.

In my case (2006 Winnebago Voyage with 8.1L engine) the length of the new manifolds tail stock was longer than the original, making it very difficult to mate up with the exhaust pipe (impossible without modifying the exhaust pipe). Plus the type of gasket used on the new manifold was different than the original (flat washer-type gasket on new; recessed doughnut-type on original). So make sure you check out both aspects before you move forward. Otherwise, the new manifold was just a good a quality as the original. And as far as a heat riser, just block it off it it's not needed.

No heat riser nor is one required on this part. This part was designed for a beveled donut style gasket.
