Ensure fit

  • The simplest way to determine the amperage of the alternator in your GM truck is by RPO (Regular Production Options) Code. This code list is located on a tag inside the glove box of your truck.
    • The alternator code for the 130 Amp is KG8.
    • If your code is K68 , your truck is equipped with the standard 105 Amp alternator
  • Please verify the picture matches the alternator in your vehicle. If you think there is a difference please call us to toll free 888-844-3393 to verify fit.
  • For some vehicles we provide the VIN engine code to match. Match the 8th digit (5th digit on 1979 and earlier) of your VIN number to the VIN code in the title.
