The coolant connector install instructions are NOT explained. Part has 3 connections; only 2 are described here.

Morton: while I cannot clearly understand your fit issue, please let me offer these tips: The O-rings are located in a groove inside of the female portion of the connection. I found that a light application of silicone grease aids dramatically when the male component is inserted. Locate the shoulder of the male part and note the position of the stainless steel spring clips. These clips must be positioned against the perpendicular shoulder and prevent the parts from separating. Do a test fit with the parts before installing into the car. Also, insure that the surface of male part is absolutely smooth, gor it is against this surface that the O-ring must seat. On some parts, there will exist a mold line which can be felt. Should you find this, use a small flat piece of wood onto which you can glue a 1/2" wide strip of wet-dry 600 grit abrasive paper or cloth. Slowly, and carefully, using a rotating motion, polish the irregular surface until smooth. Careful not to flat spot the O-ring seat
