The Chevy Lumina was released for the '90 model year replacing the Chevrolet Celebrity in their mid-size vehicle lineup. The Lumina is not to be confused with the minivan of the same name offered by Chevrolet, the Lumina APV. The Chevy Lumina was GM's answer to the Ford Taurus.
