1997-01 Honda CR-V 4 Wheel Drive Rear Driveshaft TRQ DSA89351

It was missing a bolt but went back together fine. The failure had taken out the shift cable as well. There is no need to pull the console for the cable. There is a small clip to pull if you look closely with a light.

The drive shaft is made up of front and rear shafts with a slip joint in the middle. The rear section of the drive shaft was about 3/8" too short. After some finagling, I was able to install the shaft by slightly stretching the rubber boot on the center bearing support. The shaft is well balanced and everything else in fine. One nice feature about this drive shaft is that is has replaceable universal joints, so the next time a u joint goes bad it will be a lot cheaper to repair.

Very good quality part, no problem installation,no freight charge for ground shipment, part was received in less than three days. I shopped price through four different part suppliers. It was two hundred dollars cheaper than the Dorman part quoted to me by our local parts supplier! I can't say enough positive reasons to bu from A1, Other than exceptional service ,quality and price. I ordered this part since the u joints snapped on my original driveshaft so getying a whole new one was easier then replacing the joints (which are very hard to replace). The order shipped out pretty fast and I was gonna receive it in 3-4 days. Apparently UPS somehow managed to load it on a truck for delivery but then proceeded to lose this 6 foot long box (I have no idea how). They claimed it lost or missing so I called 1A auto and they sent me a whole new one 2 day shipping at no cost and thank god UPS didnt lose that one. The customer service representative helped me out a lot and made sure I got what I needed. Will definitely order again from these guys great service and product.

This is a perfect part for a 1st Gen Honda CR-V. It shipped quickly especially for how big the item is. Product is well made and fits perfectly. Packaged well. I have had it on my CR-V for about a month now and I have had no imediate issues. But....the hardware is not very good. I could have gotten bolts the exact same as these at any hardware store. Would like to see some firmer hardware even if it makes it another 20 bucks more.

My Driveshaft broke at the U-joint and I was told the replacement part alone priced at $700 to $1,200. I couldn't afford that and needed my car to drive to work... so I went online and found the part through 1A Auto. They delivered the part as promised and my car was fixed at a fraction of the cost quoted to me. I am Very Happy with my service from 1A Auto and I will definitely check with them first when looking for car parts!

The part fits ok.. as another person said on another review, the carrier bearing isnt in right spot so it had to be pryed into place by a mm or two but once bolted down it was fine... I'm currently in the middle of replacing the differential as old driveline tore up the bearings... but it seems to be good minus the prying... and I reused old hardware as I usually do with hondas just my preference...

The shop quoted me close to 1500 to fix this including the part for like 1200 payed just over 200 for this and my daughters uncle put it in. Saved me so much money. My original lasted almost 20 years.

I own several Honda CRV's afyer looking through many competitors parts and prices i found A-1 auto was less than 50% of competitors prices and the best part is the lifetime warranty with my driveline. Ive been doing shade tree mechanics for 25 years. I believe A-1 Auto to be the best.

I didn't realize how much my 2000 Honda CR-V vibrated until I replaced the driveshaft. The 1A Auto video was very helpful and installation was smooth. I crawled under the car to do the job by myself and used a scissor jack to raise the new driveshaft; a second person would have been helpful. I'm slow and the entire job took me two hours, including the test drive. The new driveshaft was packaged very well; very thick cardboard on three sides and the fourth side was plywood. I could have ordered a driveshaft for $100 less online. However, I'm glad I got this one from 1A Auto because it arrived in good condition, all the parts I need were included and it works great. The new driveshaft was a big improvement over my worn out, 23 year old driveshaft.
