  1. Removing the Wheel (0:50 in the video)
    • Pry off the center cap with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Retrieve the center nut key from the glove box
    • Use the key to loosen the center nut
    • Pull off the wheel cover
    • Loosen the lug nuts with the vehicle on the ground
    • Raise the vehicle with a floor jack
    • Secure the vehicle on jack stands
    • Remove the lug nuts
    • Pull off the wheel cover bracket
    • Pull off the wheel
  2. Inspecting the Brakes (1:21 in the video)
    • Check the thickness of the brake pads
    • Check for gouges on both sides of the rotor
  3. Removing the Brake Pads (1:50 in the video)
    • Remove the two 10mm bolts from the brake caliper
    • Pry off the caliper with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Pull the caliper aside
    • Pull the inner brake pad out of the caliper
    • Pry the outer brake pad off with a flat blade screwdriver
  4. Removing the Brake Rotor (2:49 in the video)
    • Apply penetrating oil to the wheel studs
    • Pull the rotor off
    • If the rotor will not come off, strike rotor with a hammer to loosen it
  5. Installing the New Brake Rotor (3:24 in the video)
    • Slide the rotor on
    • Thread on one lug nut to hold the rotor in place
  6. Installing the New Brake Pads (3:41 in the video)
    • Put an old pad in the caliper
    • Use a large C-clamp and the old pad to push the pistons back
    • Install the new brake pads into the caliper
    • Clean the brake pad slides with a wire brush
    • Check that the caliper slides move freely
    • Apply grease to the caliper slides, if necessary
    • Put the caliper on
    • Thread the two 10mm bolts by hand
    • Tighten bolts to between 12 - 15 foot-pounds
  7. Reattaching the Wheel (6:50 in the video)
    • Remove the placeholder lug nut
    • Slide the wheel into place
    • Put the wheel cover bracket into place
    • Start the lug nuts by hand
    • Tighten the lug nuts preliminarily
    • Lower the vehicle to the ground
    • Tighten the lug nuts to between 100 - 120 foot-pounds in a crossing or star pattern
    • Put the wheel cover into place
    • Tighten the center nut with the key
    • Reattach the center cap
    • Return the center nut key to the glove box
  8. Testing the Brakes (7:39 in the video)
    • Pump your brakes repeatedly until they feel firm
    • Test your brakes at 5 miles per hour and then 10 miles per hour
    • Road test the vehicle
