The part was a good fit, unfortunately I had to go by some nuts and bolts to install it because it didn't come with any and you have to drill out the stock rivets, if hardware was included it would have got 5 stars from me

the only problem was the window didnt go down all the way the bottom bolt was preventing the window from going down all the way solution was take the bottom bolt and put it in first then tighten it with the bolt the bolt wasnt a obstruction any more and the window went down all the way

Does it come with hardware to replace the rivets?

Yes, it does come with the appropriate bolts and nuts. The rivets have to be drilled out and the unit will be bolted in place.

recently purchased a dorman # 741-587 INSTALLED IT AND IT DOESNT GO DOWN INTO THE DOOR! IT STAYS ABOVE 2" HOW DOES THIS ONE FIT?

I installed mine in a 1994 Plymouth voyager. It installed fine. I had a short in my switch, which prevented it from working properly. Check your switch connections and see that they're getting the proper voltage. Maybe you have a ground condition of some sort. I had a ground condition within my wiring. Once I replaced my switch, everything was fine.
